Pupils at St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy in Glossop have been visited by police officers and firefighters, who held assemblies around the word 'consequences'.
Members of the High Peak Youth Engagement Team, alongside Glossop Fire Station firefighters, were at the Sunlaws Street school each morning this week to hold assemblies with each year group in turn - starting with Year 11s on Monday.
A spokesperson for the Youth Engagement Team said: "We discussed what is a crime, the different types of crimes and some punishments. We explained the age of criminal responsibility for young people aged from 10 to 17.
"We talked about the direct and indirect impact of crime, 'the ripple effect' on victims, perpetrators, family and the community, particularly the consequences in relation to knife crime and arson.
"Pupils were made aware of how to report crime 100 per cent anonymously using sites such as Fearless.org or Firestoppers.
"A big thank you to the school and staff for accommodating the input this week and a big thank you to all pupils who attended each assembly."
