Police warning to parents amid anti-social behaviour in Tintwistle

Police have branded repeated anti-social behaviour in Tintwistle as "unacceptable" and is asking parents to be aware of what their children are up to.

Glossop Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team say they have received several reports in the last few nights where groups of youngsters - mainly boys aged between 10 and 13 -  have been knocking on doors playing 'knock a door run'.

This has included knocking on elderly people's doors and they have been abusive to residents when challenged.

Police said in a Facebook post: "This has caused alarm and distress within the community and to the community and is un acceptable, unfair and needs to stop.

"If you know who is responsible and are prepared to name them – then please get in touch with PCSO 4415 Buller via 101 or online quoting occurrence reference 20000544418."
