Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council has a new member to represent the Chapel West Ward.
Only James Peter Shephard was nominated to contest the single seat available so was elected unopposed last week.
The parish council still has two vacant seats for representatives for the Dove Holes and Martinside ward after no nominations were received.
A fresh election will be held on a date to be announced by the Borough Council Returning Officer.
