Local grooming parlour Snobby Dogs gets noticed by Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis

Established in 2009, Snobby Dogs has branches in Glossop, Stockport and Tameside and have recently received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis.

Last October, Katie Fenna who is the Director of Snobby Dogs Grooming Parlour Ltd tweeted Theo about her business, which she opened with her mother. She tweeted on ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was one of six weekly winners to gain a retweet or repost by Theo to his over half a million Twitter and Instagram followers.

The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 3,500 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.

Katie Fenna of Snobby Dogs said: “to be recognised by Theo Paphitis and the Small Business Sunday team is an absolute honour and a wonderful opportunity for our small business; we are delighted and proud to be part of such an exclusive and supportive group of businesses”.

"It just feels surreal because like a lot of people, I've always watched Theo on Dragons Den and to be recognised by him is amazing... It's a great opportunity for us."

Mr Paphitis re‐tweeted Snobby Dogs’ message to his over 500,000 Twitter and Instagram followers and as a result, Snobby Dogs has seen a huge growth in their followers and extra demand for their services.

Theo Paphitis commented: The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Snobby Dogs every success.”

Going forward, Katie is looking into designing her own prints for a range of collars to sell in the different branches she added: "we want these to be made in a sustainable fabric."

Katie and all the staff at Snobby Dogs would like to reiterate how grateful they are for their loyal customers: "Thank you for all the customers we've built up over the years, we are very lucky."
