Glossopdale surgery experiences rise in Covid jab exemption requests

Manor House Surgery, on Manor Street in Glossop.

Doctors in Glossopdale are seeing a number of requests for exemption certificates from people who don’t want to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Now, Manor House Surgery, which has doctors surgeries on Manor Street in Glossop and Brosscroft in Hadfield, is reminding patients that certificates will only be signed if a person has one of the very few medical reasons that mean they should not be given the vaccine.

On their Facebook page, they have made it clear that they will not issue exemption forms simply because a person does not want to have the jab.

In the post the surgery added: “Manor House Surgery strongly encourages all patients to be vaccinated against Covid-19. It protects you, protects others and protects the NHS from being overwhelmed.

“All the staff at Manor are fully vaccinated as we believe it is best for ourselves, our families, our patients, and the NHS.”
