Last night the Derbyshire Police Cadets joined forces with officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team.
The cadets and offers went door-to-door in the Glossop area, speaking to residents, giving them security advice regarding burglary prevention.
They also carried out Derbyshire Talking Surveys, which are designed to help the local team identify the issues residents have in the local area and help the police set out their priorities.
Derbyshire Police said: "Thank you to all the residents that took the time to speak to our young people."
The cadets attend weekly meetings, and take part in local social action projects and initiatives aimed at raising the profile of young people in the count, giving them a real insight into policing.
