Crime drama could be coming to Glossop

Could the film makers be back in Glossop again?

A scout from Abbott Vision has been in town looking for possible locations for a six-part drama series for Sky One titled ‘Wolfe.’

It’s said to be a ‘new story of the week forensic crime drama’ created by Paul Abbott of Shameless, State of Play, Clocking Off and No Offence.

A letter from a location scout from AbbottVision Wolfe Ltd has been dropping through Glossop letterboxes.

One, which was received at a house in Queens Drive, said: “We are in the process of looking for filming locations that could feature in the series - filming could range from one day to a number of days in the schedule.”

The letter says the property could fulfil some of the location requirements, with the filming taking place sometime up until April.

The location scout says that subject to the householder being interested and the location chosen, a fee would be paid.

The Queens Drive householder is thought to be still ‘making up her mind’.

Over the years Glossop has been involved in a number of TV drama productions, so maybe the film cameras could be rolling again.
