Creative works on display at Hadfield Open Art Show 2022

Hadfield Open Art Show continues up to and including Saturday (4 June), featuring works from local people which are on display at Hadfield Hall.

One of the organisers, Annette Hetherington, told us that it’s great to have the art show back as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. 

She said: "We were prepared to put on a show in 2020 but Covid-19 restrictions meant we had to postpone it. But this year’s artists are amazing.

"It’s inspiring to see what people create in their own homes. There’s a huge variety of work on display with very differing styles.”

There is also a children’s display at The Craft Barn, just off Station Road. It's been a record0breaking year with over 170 children participating in this year's exhibition. 

Winners have already been presented with their prizes by High Peak Mayor and Mayoress Ollie and Gill Cross.

They also took in a sneak peek of the adults display before it opened to the public.

Annette said they have had about 200 people through the exhibition so far and hope the numbers to increase towards the weekend.
