Councillor thanks hospital staff who cared for his daughter

Amelia-Rose Siddall.

A Glossopdale councillor has thanked the staff in the children's ward at Tameside Hospital who cared for his 18-month-old daughter.

Edward Siddall's youngest daughter Amelia-Rose was taken into the hospital on Tuesday 11 May with a high temperature and suspected sepsis.

Edward, who represents Hadfield South on High Peak Borough Council, said: "The staff were quick to treat her, they looked after my wife Suzanne who was incredibly stressed, and kept her updated with Amelia's condition.

"They allowed her to stay at the hospital whilst Amelia-Rose was being treated."

Amelia-Rose was discharged two days later into the care of the community nurses and has now made a full recovery.

Cllr Siddall added: "We have the ambulance service and Tameside Hospital staff to thank for this."
