Buxton Military Tattoo set to return

After a two-year break, the Buxton Military Tattoo is back at the Devonshire Dome in July.

The Tattoo has a spectacular line up planned featuring some of the UK’s finest military bands for the two performances on Saturday 2 July under the leadership of Captain Laura Stead, Director of Music.

The show builds up to a spectacular massed bands finale including the emotive Sunset ceremony and also Lone Piper.

Chris Thornton, Buxton Military Tattoo’s Event Manager, said: "I am delighted that the Tattoo has grown and developed over the last 12 years.

“We have seen many marvellous performances from the Army, Navy, and RAF, so I am proud to announce that we are now able to extend our support across the whole Armed Forces community by raising funds for The Royal British Legion.”

This year’s show features The British Army Band Sandhurst, home the world-famous Royal Military Academy, The Band of Nottinghamshire Royal Engineers, and the Military Wives Choir.

Making a welcome return will be the Pipes and Drums of The Scots Guards Association. The show will also showcase young performers from the Band of Manchester Wing of the Royal Air Force Cadets and Stockport Sea Cadets.

Tickets are on sale now from 01298 27190 for the matinee and evening performances. More details can be found at www.buxtontattoo.org.uk
