Arnfield Care and Glossopdale Community Defibs join forces to install lifesaving equipment

Arnfield Care and Glossopdale Community Defibs have now supplied and installed 3 defibs installed in Tintwistle, Glossop and Hadfield.

Glossopdale Community Defibs have been busy at work all across the High Peak for quite some time now, with the mission objective of making Glossop the “defib capital of the world” becoming by and large a resounding success.

For their latest venture, Glossopdale Community Defibs teamed up with Arnfield Care to buy and install the new lifesaving equipment. Arnfield Care and the independent school are providers of residential care for children between the ages of 11 to 17 and has provided great care services for children and young people throughout the High Peak since 1997.

Paul Knowles, the Managing Director for Arnfield Care, looked objectively at the provision and decided it would make more sense and be more community spirited if the defibs were public facing. This would therefore make the defibrillators available to use by members of the public in the locality.

Paul communicated the purchasing and installation with Glossopdale Community Defibs very own Adam Corbally, the pair having known each other since childhood and maintaining a good relationship. On behalf of Glossopdale Community Defibs, Adam kindly agreed to support the installation through match funding.

Of Arnfield Care, the Directors Paul Knowles, Elaine French and Wayne Relf agreed to pay for the defibrillators.  Phil Ryder of Ryder Electrical Solutions kindly offered to install the defibrillators free of charge, making this a true collaboration of goodwill.
