Geoff Dorsett

Geoff started his music career aged 13 hosting some local discos, and by 18 was working with Mecca Ballrooms opening new venues around the UK.

In 1974 he was on air at the opening of commercial radio station Radio Hallam in Sheffield, followed by presenting shifts on other local radio stations in the 80s as well as pirate radio.

Over the years, Geoff has interviewed close to 3000 musicians including Sir Cliff Richard, The Rolling Stones, Genesis, The Eagles, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Toto, Level 42, Freddy Cannon, Tommy Roe, Marty Wilde, The Searchers, The Hollies, Sweet, Slade, Suzy Quatro, Deep Purple, Yes, The Stranglers, plus many more.

His Tameside Radio show plays music from Prog Rock to Glam, Disco to New Wave, New Romantics, Rock, House Music, and has features such as  Skooldaze, Classic Album cuts, Superstar interviews, and the Big Quiz.
