Mossley dance school hosts annual showcase ahead of 50th anniversary

A Mossley dance school is set to hold its yearly showcase later this month, as it looks forward to commemorating its 50th anniversary next year.

"Pure Imagination" will be on at the George Lawton Hall in Mossley on May 17 and 18, with a 7.15pm start time.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to the NSPCC and Young Lives Against Cancer.

This year's performance showcases songs from beloved productions like Aladdin, Matilda, Wonka and, of course, The Barbie Movie.

Rehearsals began in September last year, alongside fundraising efforts to cover the production costs, ensuring that the maximum amount of money can be donated to charity.

Mossley School of Dance was founded in 1975 by Marjorie Nield, who still serves as the Principal today.

Offering classes in tap, ballet, and contemporary dance, the community dance school welcomes students from the age of three through to adulthood.
