New App For Pregnant Women

A new app that allows expectant mothers to view and update their pregnancy notes has been launched.

Women across Oxfordshire will be able to access the Badger Notes app to record information about their pregnancies and access resources provided by midwives.

It replaces the traditional, paper-based blue maternity notes folder.

Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) began implementing the app at the start of the year.

Meta's Technical Issues

Meta says it has resolved a "technical issue" which caused Facebook, Messenger and Instagram to go down.

Hundreds of thousands of users worldwide were unable to access them for around two hours on Tuesday last week.

People trying to log onto the websites and apps were finding error messages and were unable to refresh their feeds as normal.

Meta also apologised to those who had been affected, saying it resolved the problem as quickly as it could.

Tracking website Downdetector indicated the outages had affected multiple countries.

Talk Tv To Move To Online Only

Rupert Murdoch's Talk TV network is to cease broadcasting as a traditional television channel in the summer and move solely online.

The network launched in 2022 but has struggled to attract viewers on its linear platform.

In contrast, many videos clipped up from its shows perform well on YouTube.

This weeks app of the week is called HealthSteps

It keeps track of the number of steps you take and provides you with basic information like duration, speed, distance, number of calories burned, etc. 

There is also a graph to show statistics over the course of the week or month so that you can have a big picture of just how active you have been.

Most of us at some point have been unable to access important data, whether it's work documents, photos, videos, contact details or other personal information.

Making backups doesn't take very long, and can usually be set up to take place automatically. So a little planning in advance to make backups could save you a lot of stress should the worst happen.

Once you've made a backup, if you lose access to your original data, you can restore a copy of it from the backup.
