WATCH: Eamonn is a world beater

The Ashton-based Anthony Seddon Fund charity has said a huge thank you to Eamonn Muldoon of No Excuses Training.

Eamonn took up the gruelling 5-5-75 challenge - to run five miles every five hours for 75 hours.

He is understood to be only the second person in the world to undertake the challenge - the other being professional boxer Luke Jackson from Australia.

‘Representing the UK’ Eamonn set up a Just Giving page to raise funds for the charity which he says is close to him - plus do the ‘charity and his country’ proud.

Eamonn completed the challenge in June and has raised an amazing £2,560 for the Anthony Seddon Fund - visiting the charity to donate the funds.

Fundraiser for the charity Angie Wild said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Eamonn for his amazing efforts.”

The charity helps those with mental health issues across the borough.

Although the charity’s centre has been unable to open because of the coronavirus pandemic, its phone lines will be back up and operational soon.

The charity has also been hard at work throughout lockdown delivering food parcels and offering help to those most in need.
