Two injured men required hospital treatment following a serious collision between a car and a motorbike in Dukinfield.

Emergency services were called to King Street on Wednesday evening (21 July) at around 9pm to reports that a motorbike had crashed.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said it is believed the bike was in collision with a car, and both the rider and the passenger on the back of the bike were injured.

The passenger, a 38-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics and at hospital, where he has 'life-changing' leg injuries.

The bike rider, a 31-year-old man, later self-presented at hospital with leg and ankle injuries.

The car driver assisted officers at the scene, police have said.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an RTC involving a car and a motorbike at 8.58pm. The pillion passenger (a male in his 30s) suffered severe injuries and was taken to hospital."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
