Two depart Curzon

Curzon Ashton midfielder Ryan Shenton has left the club to join FC United of Manchester.

Shenton spent a large period of last season with Chadderton in the North West Counties First Division North. After consistently impressing for David Fish's side, Shenton was re-signed by Curzon following Mark Bradshaw's appointment as manager in January. The two had previously worked together and enjoyed great success during Bradshaw's spell as Academy boss.

Shenton went on to become a first team regular and played an important role in Curzon's survival.

The 19-year-old joins the Rebels following their relegation to the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Upon signing for the club, Shenton tweeted: "Just want to say a massive thank you to @CurzonAshton for the last few years had a great time down there and really enjoyed it, thanks to all the players, managers and fans good luck for the future."

In other news, long-serving striker Niall Cummins has left the club to join Marine.

Cummins joined Curzon in 2013 and quickly became a fans' favourite. He played a key part in the Nash's rise from the Evo-Stik First Division North to the National League North under then manager John Flanagan.

He joins Marine having spent a considerable period of last season on-loan with the club. Marine were relegated to the Evo-Stik West on the last day of the season. It was their first relegation in the club's 125 year history.
