Turning back the clock to the 1940s in Hattersley

Everyone is invited to turn back the clock for a 1940s' Hattersley Retro Weekend next month.

The theme of the event will be celebrating the end of World War Two and the 40s’ era.

There will be classic cars, fancy dress and vintage music, refreshments, BBQ food and local traders will be selling homemade crafts.

SSAFA will also be in attendance. The Armed Forces charity, the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association, is a UK charity that provides lifelong support to serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependants.

Also attending will be Hyde-based Sandwich Angels, the community group which helps the homeless and struggling families, elderly and vulnerable with food parcels.

They are asking for donations of tinned items for their stall, as they are not government funded and rely on public food donations.

Limited stalls are available for the event and for further information you can email hattersleygardens@gmail.com

The event goes ahead on the weekend of November 13 and 14, from 10am to 3pm each day at Union Close, Hattersley Road West, Hattersley, SK14 3JG.
