Tree time at Mossley church

St George’s Church Christmas Tree Festival opens on Friday (December 13).

The festival will feature up to 50 decorated trees, with funds split between St George’s Church and Emmaus Mossley.

The festival will be open from 10am on Friday with refreshments all day and a special Emmaus Christmas concert in the evening featuring Mossley Hollins High School band and local primary schools.

It will also be attended by the Civic Mayor of Tameside Cllr Leigh Drennan and special guest Terry Waite CBE.

From 10am on Saturday there will be Breakfast with Santa and a Christmas concert by St John’s (Mossley) Band at 7.30pm. There will be a final opportunity to see the trees on Sunday when the church is open from noon to 5pm.

Refreshments will be served throughout the weekend, with Emmaus soup lunches on Friday and Saturday.

A raffle will run throughout the weekend and drawn at 3pm on Sunday. It is free entry.
