Tiny tots are together again in Mossley

Mums and babies are once again getting to know each other as lockdown eases.

Mossley Community Centre set up a mums’ well-being group at the start of 2020.

This was thanks to funding from Tameside Council as part of the winter pressure fund and from Greater Manchester Perinatal and Parent-Infant Mental Health peer support group Microgrants, administered by Action Together.

The centre then employed facilitators and linked in with Homestart.

Due to the pandemic, the group had to meet virtually, but now the mums and tots are able to see each other in person again - all socially distanced.

To celebrate this, the centre handed out goodie/pamper bags to the mums, with the bags made by volunteers and the contents donated by local businesses and Homestart.

The sessions, at the centre on Roughtown Road, are on Tuesdays from 9.30-11am and Fridays 1-2.30pm and are by booking only for mums with pre-walkers.
