Three people had to be cut from two vehicles by firefighters and taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Ashton.
It happened on Broadoak Road at around 2pm on Friday afternoon (5 March).
Police, ambulances and fire engines were all witnessed at the scene.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At just after 2pm this afternoon, one fire engine from Stalybridge and one fire engine and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton-under-Lyne were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Broadoak Road, Ashton-under-Lyne.
"The incident involved two vehicles, and firefighters used cutting gear to extricate three people from the vehicles who were then conveyed to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.
"Crews made the vehicles safe and used absorbent mats to clear a small oil spillage, and were in attendance at the scene for around 40 minutes."
The road was closed for a period whilst emergency services responded but has since re-opened.
