Tame Valley plan inquiry to launch

Green land in the Tame Valley.

A public inquiry launches on 1 February into proposed plans for the Bredbury Industrial Estate.

The contentious plans, opposed by politicians on both sides of the Stockport/Tameside border, were rejected by Stockport Council last year.

However, developer Quorum has appealed against the planning refusal and now a public inquiry will be held to hear both sides.

Denton MP Andrew Gwynne will be taking part on behalf of local residents who have campaigned against losing green belt in the Tame Valley.

Residents can take part in the inquiry by emailing planningappeals@stockport.gov.uk quoting 'PLA012.907 inquiry attendance'.
