After facing storms and a deluge of snow, your local town centres need your support more than ever on this Small Business Saturday.

For Small Business Saturday, Ashton Town Team is working with Tameside College to promote some of the work done by students in hospitality, bakery, hair and beauty, business, catering and travel and tourism. 

If the above isn't enough, they have worked with Tameside Markets, Tameside Council and the Welcome Back fund to bring a very special visitor to the town centre - The Snowman and The Snowdog. 

Spencer Grady, from Grade A Jewellery, said: "Businesses have suffered a challenging year with Covid and it's important this Christmas to support our incredible range of small, specialist shops." 

It's a thought also echoed by Val Unwin, from Decisions Clothing. 

She said: "Ashton's independent offering is one of the best in the area and covers a host of unique businesses that you won't find anywhere else. 

"With the big businesses now closing their town centre branches, now is the time to fall in love with your local shops and discover what they can offer." 

Kevin Taylor, Chair of Ashton Town Team, said: "We have a fantastic selection of stalls in and outside Ashton Market Hall, specialist businesses around the town centre showcasing luxury watches, beautiful jewellery, designer clothing, fashionable footwear, homeware, furniture, collectables and much more. Shop small and make a big difference!"
