Summer litter picks to help keep Ashton Hurst tidy

Ashton Hurst councillor Dan Costello on a litter pick recently.

Ashton Hurst councillor Dan Costello has organised some more summer litter picks to help keep the community clean - the first of which is this weekend.

It follows residents' great response to the litter picks organised as part of Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean, between 28 May and 13 June.

They will take place on consecutive Saturdays from 11am to 1pm as follows:

Saturday 7 August: Broadoak Road (meet at Great Academy)

Saturday 14 August: Nook Lane/Lees Road (meet at St Christopher's School)

Saturday 21 August: Broadoak Clough/Lees Road (meet at St Damian's School)

All equipment will be provided.

For more details, contact Cllr Costello by emailing dan.costello@tameside.gov.uk or call 07760 557963.
