Stalybridge Spring Show draws in the crowds

Sunday's Stalybridge Spring Show in Cheetham Park attracted huge crowds with a huge funfair and wealth of entertainment.

Along with a fun dog show, live music, hot food stalls and a large number of trader and community stalls there really was something for everyone.

While the Sarah England School of Dance performed dances around a five metre high maypole in the performance area in the park.

Organiser Ian Cochrane said: “I would like to say a big thank you to the volunteers from Stalybridge Festival Committee and everyone who turned up to our very successful Spring Show which helped to raise valuable funds towards this year’s carnival.

“Arrangements for Stalybridge Carnival Weekend (Saturday 25 - Sunday 26 June) are at an advanced stage with the carnival parade starting at 1pm on the Sunday .

“We are so looking forward to the carnival returning after the disappointment of having to cancel the event for the last two years because of the Covid pandemic.”
