Specialist Stalybridge college is helping the homeless

A specialist college in Stalybridge is appealing for donations of warm clothing to help homeless people living in the borough's towns.

Works4U is collecting any coats or warm jumpers that people no longer need but they must be in a useable condition.

They said: “With the winter coming up and Covid still hitting us hard, we need the support of the community now more than ever before. Please help us to support the homeless people living in our local towns.”

You can drop off donations every Monday from 10am to 12 noon at The Peacock Centre, Ambleside, Stalybridge, SK15 1EB.

If you want to donate but are unable to drop off at the above time, send a message to the ‘Works4U Support Services’ Facebook page or call Jayde on 07871 066627.

Works4U is a specialist college with Independent Specialist Provision (ISP) status for young people aged 14-24 and young people who are in the NEET category (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
