Rotary boost for Carrbrook sign language lessons

The Carrbrook Community Hub has received a boost thanks to a donation from Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary Club.

The Hub received a cheque for £80 towards its sign language lessons.

Cllr Jan Jackson presented the cheque, on behalf of Rotary, to the Hub’s treasurer, Wendy Crellin and Angela Taylor.

Angela is deaf and delivers the weekly sign language sessions, which run every Thursday from 4-5.30pm. They are free to attend, although donations are welcome.

Cllr Jan Jackson said: “The Carrbrook Community Hub is going from strength to strength and the sign language lessons are a fantastic and unique service, so thank you to Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary Club for their donation.”

If you would like to deliver a service at the Carrbrook Community Hub, or find out more about the wide range of services on offer, you can e-mail involvement@msvhousing.co.uk or call into the Hub at 1 Broadbent Close, Carrbrook, Stalybridge.
