Roadworks and bus timetable changes on the way

Buses in Tameside will be affected by upcoming road works on Hyde Road and an update to Stagecoach Manchester's timetables.

The works on Hyde Road, planned to commence on Sunday 26 January, will affect the 204, 205, 206 and 207 services running between Manchester and Hyde, as well as the number 7 Ashton and Stockport service and 150 Hyde and Intu Trafford Centre service.

Manchester City Council will be replacing the bridge at Reddish and widening the road to create two new lanes for traffic.

Stagecoach Manchester have said they will be using extra buses to minimise the disruption. However, journeys are expected to take longer than usual and passengers are advised to allow extra time for their travel.

In addition, the 389 Stagecoach service between Ashton and Astley will be affected by timetable updates from Sunday 26 January.

Passengers can expect changes of only a couple of minutes according to Stagecoach, who say the timetables are being updated to improve punctuality.
