Proud Isla is Hyde Rotary winner

Congratulations to Hyde Rotary Christmas card design winner 2019 Isla Spragg.

Isla, a Year 4 pupil at Bradley Green Primary Academy in Hyde, was judged the winner of the design competition and congratulated with a certificate by Hyde Rotary Community Chairman Kevin Maddox.

Isla’s prize was to have her design created into a real Christmas card which has been handed out to hundreds of children along with sweets during this year’s Hyde Rotary Christmas sleigh round.

All local schools were invited to take part in the competition with judges setting the challenge for children to draw a landmark in the town depicting a Christmas scene.

It was a tough decision for the judges but Isla’s design won through.

Bradley Green Primary Academy principal Vicky Cameron said she was very proud of Isla and described her win as ‘amazing’.

The Hyde Rotary sleigh concludes its street visits tonight and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday), finishing this Saturday at Hattersley Tesco between 11am and 3pm, where children can once again meet Santa and will receive sweets and a card.
