Nominate local businesses for an award

Nominations are still open for the 2020 Local Business Awards.

Andrew Gwynne, MP for Denton and Reddish, is encouraging the constituency across Audenshaw, Denton, Dukinfield, Reddish and the Heatons to nominate their favourite local businesses.

Last year, over 4,000 nominations were received for over 250 local businesses.

There are winners for each of the seven locations that make up the constituency and one overall winner.

These will be announced on Small Business Saturday, which falls on December 5.

“It has been an incredibly difficult time for our local businesses,” the MP said.

“The pandemic and lockdown have threatened the survival of many, and it is clear that we are still some way from a return to anything like normality.

“This makes it more important than ever that we celebrate the local businesses that we love and the contribution they make to our lives and communities.

“I would encourage all constituents to show their appreciation by nominating their favourites on my website,” the MP added.

You can nominate your favourite local businesses at https://andrewgwynne.co.uk/local-business-awards-2020/

Congratulations are already in order for some nominated businesses including Knit 2 Tog and Stamford House Hair and Beauty, but Mr Gwynne hopes for many more nominations over the coming month.
