Mayor was special guest as Hyde artisan market returned

Hyde Artisan Market was back last Saturday and the Civic Mayor of Tameside, Cllr Janet Cooper, was the special guest as good crowds enjoyed the warm weather and an array of stalls.

The Mayor herself was able to take the opportunity raise money for this year’s Mayoral charities - Friends of Tameside Young Carers, the Tameside Scanner Appeal, Tameside For Good and Cascade Baby Bundles.

The market takes place on the first Saturday of the month, with the next scheduled for Saturday 3 July.

At the event in September, there will be a special sci-fi theme when the Hyde Fundraisers will be taking along their ‘out of this world’ characters for picture opportunities and to raise money for good causes too.

See if you feature in our photo album from the latest artisan market here...
