Lilywhites land two midfielders

Mossley manager Dave Wild boosted his squad ahead of the opening day 0-0 draw at Onset United on Saturday.

Paul Marshall, 31, joins the club with a wealth of experience, having progressed through Manchester City's Youth Academy before signing his first professional contract in 2007.

He then had loan spells with Blackpool, Port Vale and Aberdeen, before joining Walsall, Rochdale and Droylsden.

After spell with Halifax Town in 2012, Marshall joined Stockport County in 2013. He then returned to Halifax for a second spell and made 39 appearances in the 2031/14 campaign.

Marshall has since played for Bradford Park Avenue, Alfreton Town and Curzon Ashton, where he made 24 appearances for the Tameside Stadium outfit.

Craig Roddan, 26, has also penned a deal with the Lilywhites. He began his career as a junior with Wigan Athletic before joining the Liverpool Academy.

He has since played for Accrington Stanley and Sligo Rovers, where he made over 50 appearances.

Mossley were held to a goalless draw at Ossett United on Saturday and return to action on Tuesday, at home, to Runcorn Linnets.
