How police are tackling anti-social behaviour in Hyde

Police in Hyde will be running a week of action to tackle anti-social behaviour.

Greater Manchester Police's Hyde team will be focusing on the Werneth and Godley areas in particular.

On Monday (19 July) and Tuesday (20 July), officers will be in Hyde town centre to support the daytime economy. People are invited to meet their local officers at the mobile police station to discuss any issues they may have.

On Tuesday (20 July), the GMP neighbourhood team in Newton will be holding their surgery at the Grafton Centre on Grafton Street from 11am to 1pm, where people can speak to their local PCSOs.

Then on Friday (23 July) through to Sunday (25 July), they will be visiting anti-social behaviour hotspots which have been reported to them by residents.

A spokesperson for GMP's Hyde team said: "We want to make a difference to the area but need your support. We look forward to meeting you all."
