Homes drop-in service

Tameside Council is holding a drop-in service for owners of empty homes who are looking to bring their vacant properties back into use, either to let or for market sale.

The council currently operate a successful ‘lease and repair’ scheme with Ashton Pioneer Homes (APH), a small housing association operating in Tameside.

Empty home owners enter into a five year agreement with APH whereby the property is renovated, a tenant is sourced, council tax paid for, and wrap-around management services are provided. A management fee is provided to APH, and in return the owner receives a steady rental income.

On April 1, from 2pm to 7pm, APH will be on hand to look at individual cases in detail.

This is an excellent opportunity to find out how you can make the most out of your property, and at the same time help families find sustainable housing solutions.
