Gwynne backs Labour's plan to revitalise Britain

The bid to build a fairer and better future for Britain is being backed by Denton’s MP.

Labour have announced their intention to make, buy and sell more in Britain. Their plan aims to promote raised standards, economic revival and an increase of jobs in the UK.

Andrew Gwynne MP has made his support clear, adding: “In Denton and Reddish there are so many incredible businesses that need our support and Greater Manchester is leading the way in green tech and environmental solutions.

“It's so important that we make the most of this wealth of talent and give more public contracts to British companies, big and small.

“We need to invest in Britain and bring security and resilience back to our economy. Labour is the only party with a credible plan to do so."

To achieve the ambitious plans, Labour intends to award more contracts to British firms and ensure public bodies are reporting on how much they buy from national businesses.

They also promise to invest in reshoring jobs and help businesses to do this. Working with college and universities is a further priority, to ensure the right skills are being honed for the future.
