Easter fun brings smiles in Mossley

Mossley residents had two eggs-tra special visitors on Good Friday (2 April).

The Easter Bunny and the Easter Chicken made a special socially-distanced trip to Top Mossley to spread a bit of eggs-traordinary Easter cheer.

Volunteers from Mossley Community Centre delivered Easter treats to young and old around the streets near the centre on Roughtown Road.

Lots of lovely baskets were made by the children and the Easter Bunny received a special thank you card from one family.

Chris Frost, from the centre, said: “This is the second time the community centre has not been able to welcome families to its Easter event due to Covid restrictions, but we were still able to engage with the community.

“Thanks to Pauline Town and Mossley Food Bank who donated additional eggs. It was lovely to see so many happy smiling faces.”
