Droylsden teenager praised by music legends releases his new single

Fourteen-year-old Alex Spencer is releasing 'The Morning Times' on Tuesday 26 October.

He describes his latest track as indie and funk with hip hop undertones, which is Alex’s signature sound.

Alex started his music journey on the streets of Manchester, busking for the city crowds, before recording cover songs and posting them on social media.

He quickly gained a following and the praise of superstars like Liam Gallagher, Jake Bugg and Oasis. This gave him the confidence to start writing his own music and his first original track, ‘Things Just Come and Go’, was debuted in lockdown.

When he’s not performing, Alex is a year 10 student at Laurus Ryecroft High School in Droylsden.
