Droylsden man given driving ban

A man from Droylsden has been banned from the road for 18 months for being over the drink drive limit.

Keith McKenna was stopped on Ashton Road in Failsworth on September 18 and found to have 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

The 53-year-old, of Cedar Drive, was fined £120 by magistrates, who also ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

The driving disqualification can be reduced by some four months if a driving course is satisfactorily completed.
