Doors open again in Stalybridge as church gives thanks

Members of Holy Trinity Church in Stalybridge have been delivering flowers and 'welcome back' messages in support of town businesses opening their doors again.

The messages of support include best wishes stating the congregation is praying they will go from strength to strength.

Businesses receiving the gifts have posted online messages of thanks in return.

Residents are being encouraged to shop safely and shop local as all of Tameside’s town centres reopened under eased government restrictions last week.

Non essential retailers and close contact businesses such as hairdressers and beauty salons can all open again while pubs, cafés and restaurants can serve customers in outside seating.

Tameside Council has launched a new ‘Welcome Back’ campaign, which is encouraging shoppers to support Tameside’s town centres and local businesses as they come out of lockdown. For details, visit www.tameside.gov.uk/shopsafe
