Calls for more donations in Mossley

Mossley Foodbank is appealing for extra goods to help provide short-term emergency relief for people who would otherwise go hungry.

Foodbanks help to prevent family breakdowns housing loss, crime and mental health problems.

The helpers at the foodbank also take time to listen and signpost people to further support.

The foodbank, which is based at Mossley Youth Base at The Rowans in Mossley, is asking people for donations of tinned meat, coffee, long life milk, sugar, packets of mashed potatoes, tinned vegetables, toothpaste, toilet rolls and baby items.

Donations can be dropped off at: the foodbank at the The Rowans; Micklehurst All Saints School; Mossley AFC Running Club based at Mossley AFC Seel Park; Mossley Co-op; Emmaus Mossley and St Joseph’s Church.

Mossley Foodbank is open every Thursday between 10am and noon.
