A 12-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Audenshaw.
Emergency services rushed to Audenshaw Road at around 2.55pm on Thursday afternoon (13 May), responding to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
Greater Manchester Police say the pedestrian - a 12-year-old boy - was taken to hospital with injuries that "aren't believed to be serious".
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics took a 12-year-old boy to hospital by road ambulance.
They said: "We have taken a 12-year-old boy to hospital after being hit by a car. An air ambulance was in attendance, but the patient has travelled by road."
The driver of the car remained at the scene, a GMP spokesperson added.
They also said that no arrests have been made and a report is to be submitted.
Audenshaw Road was closed between Stamford Road and Kings Road for more than an hour, leading to heavy traffic in the area, but it has since reopened.
An air ambulance has been witnessed in the area landing near to Audenshaw School.
