Book in for half-term library fun

A Tameside Libraries branch based in Stalybridge.

If you’re at school and enjoy stories, books or just general learning, Tameside Libraries have organised some entertaining events for the spring half-term holidays.

The programme casts its first spell with some magical maths. On Friday, June 4, children aged seven to nine have the chance to become a maths wizard (10-11am) . This is being organised by Explore Learning and will take place online.

John Kirk is back on Tuesday, June 1 (2-2.30pm) with another Storyhunt. He is inviting children aged three and over to join him in an online adventure based on the Grimms’ fairytale, Rumpelstiltskin, about an imp who spins straw into gold. On Thursday, June 3, it’s time for some family book fun (2-2.45pm).

There’s lots of crafts, games and book discussion, and all for children aged five to 11, their parents and carers.
