Back on the water in Stalybridge for charity

Students at Stalybridge-based Works4U College were back on the water at Stamford Park boating lake recently as they took part in their latest sponsored kayaking event.

Works4U work with young people aged 14 to 24 to provide an educational service which is different to mainstream school, providing a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Such fundraising events help teach them a ‘sense of community awareness and understanding of what it means to give back and raise money for those in need.’

They were paddling out on the lake to raise funds for Ashton-based charity The Anthony Seddon Fund, which supports mental well-being in the community.
