Arcades Shopping Centre in Ashton has remained open during the pandemic to provide access to essential retailers, but Monday (12 April) will see the reopening of the rest of its outlets.
With safety measures and a heightened cleaning regime in operation, the centre off Warrington Street has been functioning with essential retailers, click-and-collect stores and takeaway food collection during the national lockdown but are preparing for a whole host of shops to open their doors.
Looking forward to welcoming more visitors, a spokesperson for the centre said it is 'beyond delighted' to see the re-opening of shops such as New Look, H Samuel and Next, and provide the 'real-life shopping experience' that has been missed greatly within the community.
As well as non-essential retail, the establishment will also be enabled to re-open the car park and public toilets.
To ensure customer safety is a priority, compulsory face masks unless exempt will be required as well as frequent hand sanitising stations and directional floor markings in place.
With the current lockdown easing, customers are reminded that only single household groups are permitted to enter the centre and the team are also urging anyone who may be displaying Covid symptoms to refrain from visiting.
Arcades Shopping Centre's opening hours from 12 April will be 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday, with hours 10am to 4pm on Sundays. Guests are advised to see individual retailers for their opening hours.
Retailers that have remained functioning include: Superdrug, Sandwich Pound, NS News, Crawshaws, Essentials, Barclays, Halifax, Greggs, WH Smith, NM Money.
These will be accompanied from the 12th April by Three, Bap, Beauty Zone, BetFred, Card Factory, EE, E-Cig, Fonetronic, Gossip, JD, Liberty Nails, New Look, Next, Singhar Beauty, Sky, The Fragrance Shop, The Works, TUI, Trespass, Vodafone, Warren James and WH Smith.
