Ashton charity shop to reopen after lockdown

Ashton-based charity The Anthony Seddon Fund will be re-opening their charity shop on Tuesday (August 4).

The shop on George Street, opposite the charity’s main centre, has been closed during lockdown which was been devastating to regulars, volunteers and supporters.

But the shop has now been transformed by David Hulston and Christine Bell and the charity is excited about its future.

The newly refurbished shop will be selling lots of handmade gifts, clothing and accessories and also some of the charity’s merchandise ie key rings, mugs, and face coverings.

As the charity is keeping to the social distancing guidance the opening will be a smaller event than previously planned.

However, two very special ladies who have been supporting the charity during lockdown Maria Bailey (President of Tameside Rotary) and Lorraine Whitehead (Friends of Waterloo Park) will have the honour of opening the shop next Tuesday and the charity is delighted to have them both on board.

The shop will be open from 10am on Tuesday.

If you can support the Anthony Seddon Fund in any way, contact them by emailing office@tasfund.org.uk

They will look forward to hearing from you.
