A man has been charged after two emergency workers were assaulted in Tameside

A paramedic sustained a broken wrist and a police officer was bitten and spat at.

Connor McHale, 20, of Mossley Road, Ashton Under Lyne is charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

He appeared at Stockport Magistrates Court on Tuesday 12 May 2020. He is due to appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on Tuesday 9 June 2020.

On Monday 11 May 2020, police were called to a report that a paramedic had been assaulted in an ambulance in Ashton Under Lyne. 

Officers attended and, whilst assisting the injured paramedic in the ambulance, an officer was bit and spat at.
