A frustrating wait to find a suitable, new home has finally come to one end for Hollingworth Juniors Football Club.
The club, which boasts more than 150 players from Under 7s to Under 16s, became somewhat homeless after losing their previous base, situated behind the Organ Pub, due to reasons beyond their control.
However, the club can now look forward with optimism after renewing a previous partnership with Longdendale High School to use their grass pitches.
We spoke to Mark Storie, Astley Sports Village Director, about the reasons behind the relationship, how it will work, and plans being put in place to secure funding for new drainage.
