United will travel to Belgium

Manchester United have been handed a trip to Belgium in the new year as they will face Club Brugge in the round of 32 stage of the Europa League.

After qualifying through a Group L containing AZ Alkmaar, Astana and Partizan Belgrade as group winners, United will now be looking for a place in the last 16.

Manchester United, winners of the tournament under Jose Mourinho in 2017, will be confident of getting through their tie against Club Brugge.

They have played the Belgians twice before as they faced off in a Champions League qualifier.

United won that 7-1 on aggregate under Louis van Gaal clinching victory both home and away.

Brugge come into the Europa League after dropping out of the Champions League at the group stage. The Belgian side finished third in a group containing PSG, Real Madrid and Galatasaray.

The first leg of the two-legged ties will be played on February 20 and the second on February 27. The draw for the last 16 will take place on February 28th.
