The future's bright for young Aiden

Fairfield Golf Club has a fantastic record of producing talented young golfers, and 13-year-old Aiden Wrigley is the latest star to emerge from the production line.

Aiden has been playing golf since the age of six and is the fourth generation of the Wrigley family to have played golf at Fairfield.

For the last three years Aiden has been part of The Lancashire County Academy Programme, and this year he has been selected to represent the County as part of the Under 14’s Performance Squad.

Aiden praised club officials for their support in his journey so far. He said: “It’s great here at Fairfield, all the members are friendly and encouraging, and I have had some great tips on how to improve from the Professional, Stephen Pownell”.

Aiden’s golfing ambitions are to get his handicap as low as possible, represent Fairfield in the Dunham Forrest Team following in the footsteps of his Uncle Peter, and then hopefully go on to the Professional Ranks.

Any young boys and girls that are interested in playing golf at Fairfield should contact Carole, The Club Manager, or the Club Professional.
