Curzon Ashton have made another addition to their squad ahead of the new National League North campaign, as midfielder Connor Hughes has arrived at the Tameside Stadium.
Midfielder Connor Hughes spent the last two seasons at Curzon manager Steve Cunningham's former club Colne FC and worked under him at Holt House.
The former Maine Road player scored eight goals for the Lancashire outfit last season, and also helped Colne to reach the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.
The 25-year-old is the latest player to join the Ashton-based side ahead of their 2020/21 season, which is due to begin on Saturday 3 October.
Most recently, teenage Australian centre-back Noah Stokes signed on Monday after being released by Mansfield Town.
Cunningham told Curzon's club website: "I'm excited to see what Connor can do at this level, after spending two and a half years at Colne. Connor is a versatile, attacking midfielder who can play right across the pitch. He's got a laid back style with great quality on the ball, he has an eye for a goal and can unlock a defence with a dyanmic range of passes.
"Connor deserves this chance after the season he had last year with Colne, he was one of the club's leading goalscorers and assist contributors, he's local to the area and is an unbelievable talent on his day. He's got a fantastic family support network, and I'm really proud to be able to give him this chance to step up and show what he's all about."
Earlier on Tuesday, Curzon also confirmed that they will travel to Shawbridge to face Clitheroe FC on Saturday 5 September for a behind-closed-doors friendly as part of their pre-season preparations.
